Bacteria, a prerequisite for life

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consetetur sadipscing elitr, sed diam nonumy eirmod tempor invidun.

Bacteria are one kind of microorganisms that are exceptionally important for human health. They were the first form of life to “populate” the Earth some four billion years ago, and still today they dictate the conditions for our existence. Throughout evolution bacteria and humans have co-existed. Lactobacillus reuteri is one important bacteria that has developed in symbiosis with us.

Bacteria can be found everywhere, for example in soil, water, snow and even in volcanos. Some bacteria.

Kids and infections

Daycare, school and activities offer children stimulation, education as well as important social time. However, gathering in groups is particularly challenging for young children as they are more prone to infections, due to an immature immune system.

During one year a child gets sick on average 6 – 12 times in colds or influenza with symptoms like runny nose, fever, and coughing. The infections usually resolve in 7 – 10 days but lead to absence from daycare and work for both children and parents. Probiotic products with L. reuteri Protectis combined with vitamin D are known to boost the immune system and increase general well-being.
